Parent Coaching

One on One Coaching
Parent coaching is an excellent way to tap into your own wisdom and resources as a parent. Coaching presents parents with the opportunity to work through specific topics, goals, or challenges guided by active listening and responding to key questions. Typically coaching continues through four to six sessions. Each session is about fifty minutes long. Sessions can be conducted in person, via phone, or by video conference.

Is Coaching the same as Counseling or Therapy?
While coaching is like counseling in its format and adherence to strict confidentiality, it is more collaborative and less directed than counseling. In coaching, the coach and client work together at a peer to peer level. Important note: Coaching is not meant to address or replace treatment of mental health disorders. If, at any point during the coaching process, it becomes apparent a client would benefit more from counseling they will be referred to an appropriate counselor or therapist.
